Prussian 4th Grenadier Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian 4th Grenadier - King Fredrick the Greats Regiment - 3rd East Prussian from Rastenburg -Officer model 1897- used until 1913. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in the helmet body. The interior has sweat leather and silk headliner. Interior visors colored read and green. Inside of lining is the name of the wearer. Lt. Kirchner. We found a copy of him in the 1897 Ranglisten (see photo).
The frontplate is the old pattern Grenadier plate in the form of a line Eagle with the FWR Monogram on the eagles chest. Above the eagle’s head is a separate banner the “1626” stamped into it ( see photos). Round spike base with Officer pearl ring and removable spike. Flat chinscales on rosettes. Officer style Reich and Prussian cockades. Very rare regimental helmet that is seldom found in the collector marketplace. 109% original and untouched piece. This helmet has never been cleaned.
