Rare Hanseatic Regiment

Prussian/Hanseatic Bremen - 75th Infantry Regiment (1st and 2nd Batl.s ) Officer Model 1897. From a prestigous US collection.Black lacquered leather helmet body with highly gilded brass trim. The helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer shows age with some very mild cazing but is in excellent condition. The interior of the helmet has officer sweat leather and brown silk headliner. Firm stitching to visors .

The inner visors of helmet are red and green as is common for officers. No extra holes in the helmet body as plate is a perfect fit. The front plate is the Prussian Line Regiments heraldic eagle. The frontplate is 100% original and finely gilded. It is held to the helmet by screw attachments. Officer style spike and base held to helmet body with star screw retainers. Flat officer chinscales on rosettes. Reichs and special silver/red/silver Bremen 2-piece officer cockades. This helmet is 100% original.
