Württemberg Felt Ersatz Infantry Pickelhaube

Wuerttemberg Infantry Enlisted Man green felt ersatz circa 1915. Green pressed felt helmet body with Field Gray. The helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. The exterior felt in excellent shape but there is a small hole in the back visor where the helmet where the helmet was hung up for display. No other extra holes in the helmet body. The frontplate is the Wuerttemberg Line Regiments crest, held by the two original leather wedges. The crest fits the helmet shell like a glove.

Enlisted style Model 1915 gray metal round base that has a removable spike top. The spike base is held to body with split brad retainers. There is no back spine on this model. The interior has a black leather lining with 10 flaps. The liner has damage to some tabs but is all original. There are no distinguishable regimental markings. The helmet has M91 field gray side posts. Original leather chinstrap with gray metal fittings. Original set of enlisted Reich and Wuerttemberg cockades. Fine example of a rare wartime Wuerttemberg felt ersatz helmet.
