Prussian 10th Hanoverian Jäger Officer Shako - MINT

Hannoverian 10th Jäger Battalion - Officer Shako post 1899. From a distinguished American Collection. All original shako. Officer quality black felt covered leather shako with gilded brass trim that is in MINT condition. The helmet body is in excellent shape with fine form and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. The cloth portion of the shako is in excellent condition with no moth damage. Very large size. The helmet interior has mint conditioned officer style sweat leather and silk headliner.

The frontplate in in beautiful fire gilt finish is the Prussian Eagle with the Vaterland Bandeau and the banners "Peninsula - Waterloo - del Pozo" for this regiments service in the English Kings German Legion. The frontplate is secured to the helmet body with two single brad retainers. For this reason we have not removed the fronplate for photography. Flat chinscales on rosettes. Single Officer style Reichs cockade. Fine officer silver bullion with black center. 100% all original and untouched officer’s shako. Outstanding and rare helmet from the finest Provenance.
