Bavarian Infantry Officer Pickelhaube - MINT

A beautiful Officers helmet in PRISTINE condition.

Bavarian Line Infantry or Chevau-Leger Officer Model 1897 (circa 1915). Beautiful black lacquered leather helmet body with fire gilded metal trim (approximately 95% original fire gilting remaining). The helmet body is in mint condition and firm stitching, with remant of the white talky looks sought after by advanced collectors. The exterior finish is near flawless. The body is NOT sunken in as often but keeps it full original shape.

The helmet appears to be unworn. The interior of the helmet has soft sweat leather and green silk headliner which also appears to be unworn. Inner visors colored red and green. No extra holes in the helmet body. Officers cross base maintained by 3 stars which is proper for Bavarian officer helmets. Extra Tall gilded fluted officer spikes that unscrews. Fine gilded Bavarian Officer frontplate on the front of helmet. Flat semi-convex officer chinscales (regulation after 1915) maintained by rosettes. Both Reichs and Bavarian Officer Cockades. This is a beautiful helmet in absolute pristine condition. This one would be hard to upgrade.
