Prussian 2nd Garde Dragoon Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian 2nd Guard Dragoon (Tsarina Alexandra of Russia Regt.) Officer Model 1897. Black lacquered leather helmet with fine silver trim. Helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. Interior liner is the old style flat tabbed leather officer service liner. Liner is in excellent condition. Inner visors colored red and green as are proper for officer.

The frontplate is the wide winged silver Guards Eagle with the Black Eagle enameled star on the Eagles breast. Silver crossed spike base with gold stars retaining the base to the helmet. Ornamented spike base. Tall Officer spike that is removable for replacement with a plume for parade use. Rounded gold chinscales with silver rosettes. Officer style Reichs and Prussian cockades. Beautiful and impressive helmet.
