Saxon Thuringian 95th Infantry for an Enlisted Man Model 1895. Beautiful and all original helmet. Fine black leather helmet body with brass trim. Helmet body is about as mint as can be found and in excellent form, lacquer with no flaws. Back visor stitching loose on one side. Black leather tongue style liner complete and still supple, with some wear marks. Marking inside back visor is 100% ORIGINAL inked out stamp "I.R.95". No extra holes in helmet body.

Prewar quality brass trim. Enlisted style spike top that does not untwist. Original brass brads holding base to helmet body. Frontplate is the Prussian style brass Eagle with FURST banner and the silver star and Saxon crest surround on both sides by laurel leaves. The frontplate is secured to helmet body by leather wedges. Original leather chinstrap. Original Reichs cockade, unfortunately the State Cockade is missing. This helmet is in near mint condition. Beautiful example of a Rare Regimental helmet.
