Prussian Wartime Pioneer Officer Pickelhaube

Black lacquered leather/Filz helmet body in excellent - near mint - condition with no cracks or lacker loss. Silver trim in wartime metal. The frontplate is the Prussian Line Officers Eagle in white wartime metal (no extra holes). Tall silver Spike with Perlring that unscrews over round base held by 4 gilt stars. Green and Red lined front and back visors respectively.

The inside of the helmet is about MINT and has the wartime simi-leather sweatband with beige silk "seidenrips" lining. Inside of shell is in Black wartime filz sized "55". Flat gilt chinscales held by Silver rosettes over a set of Officers Prussian and Reichs Cockades. A beautiful example of wartime manufacturing.
