Black lacquered Filz / Felt helmet body in excellent shape and firm stitching. Lacquer has no cracks whatsover... Gilt brass trim with extra tall spike mounted on a round base with pearring. Four gilt stars. Very minor dent towards top of the spike. Officers Eagle with the Prussian Vaterland Bandeau and FR in it center. Larged holes underneath plate that is mounted by two nuts.
Officers flat chinscales maintained by rosettes over to Cockades (Prussian and Reichs) thin front visor trim. Inside body is black Felt. Original Sweat leather lings with beige Silk. Note that silk is 100% present but show tears and needs some TLC. a 100% genuine helmet that was most likely one of the last types produced during WW1.
