Prussian Kaiser Alexander Guard Grenadier Regiment (Grenadier Regiment 1), Enlisted Man Parade Miter for the Grenadier Battalion, Model 1894. This unique Miter helmet was termed the "Russian Style Miter" and was originally used by the 1st Guard of Foot regiments in the early 1800's. The Kaiser Alexander Regiment, which was named for the Russian Czar Alexander, was awarded this style Miter when the 1st GRzF received a new style Miter in 1894. Very tall brass sheet metal on which is stamped the Prussian Guard Star and Crown. Red cloth back piece with white cloth trim.

Back side of Miter is white cloth covered. Metal font shield in excellent condition. The cloth bag retains bright red color and has no moth damage. Inside has leather enlisted style tabbed liner. The leather liner is in excellent condition. Heavy brass rounded chinscales attached to helmet body under Grenadier Bomb style rosettes. On top of Miter shield the white and Black pompom. Beautiful and rare Parade Miter. From a prestigeous old collection.
