Prussian Infantry Pickelhaube Model 1915 for Enlisted Man

Prussian M1915 156th Infantry Regiment Enlisted Man. The classic World War One spiked helmet from an old collection. The collector was an old customer of Norm Flaydermann so this could come from the original group he found in the early 1960's (see photo). Black lacquered leather body with round front visor with field gray trim. Helmet has excellent form and firm stitching.  Exterior lacquer is in excellent with only minor age related spider crazing (see Pictures).  Interior has an EM style leather lining in pristine condition, still supple. Marked inside back visor  "I.R. 156  1916  IIB". Round spike base with 4 split brads  at the spike base. Line Prussian front plate held in by leather wedges.  Original leather chinstrap and cockades.  Prussian cockade has some loss of enamel on ring. A beautiful and untouched helmet.  An original  helmet in about as good condition as it gets. Bargain priced.
