Prussian / Hannoverian 165th Infantry Pickelhaube Model 1915
A unique grouping
Prussian/Hannoverian 165th (5th Hannoverian) Infantry Regiment, field gray Model 1915 with green felt numbered EM style field cover. From and old WWI collection. Helmet ensemble is 100% original and untouched. Ensemble include: Standard M1915 Prussian style helmet with field gray trim. Helmet is in excellent condition leather helmet with field gray trim. Helmet body has perfect form and firm stitching. Complete with full leather EM style liner. Ink marked inside back visor "BA IV" which is proper for the 165th Regt. Field Gray Prussian Eagle (without Waterloo" banner.) Field gray base and spike that is removable. Complete with original leather chinstrap pulled out as if is to be worn under the soldier's chin.
Helmet in excellent plus condition. No extra holes in helmet body. Helmet covered with an EM style green cloth field cover with faded green numbers "165" sewn to field cover. Cover has removable bag for spike and sewn slip holes which the chinsrap passes through. Cloth cover held to helmet body with black metal hooks that go under front and rear visors. Cloth field cover marked inside with a stamped "B". No other markings seen. The cloth has a small tear in back (see photo) but otherwise in excellent condition. This is a unique grouping that has obviously together since WWI. Rare WWI grouping.
