Prussian Grenadier Regiments 2,3,5,6, 8 and 10-12 Enlisted Man helmet Model 1895 post 1912. Prior to the frontplate change, the Grenadier Regiments wore the Line Prussian Eagle with the FWR monogram on the eagle's chest. The Grenadiers changed to the wide winged eagle beginning in 1908 and ending in 1912. Black lacquered leather helmet with brass trim.
Leather helmet body in excellent form and has firm stitching. Helmet has some minor scuffing to leather body but it is not detractive. Complete with full EM style leather liner. No extra holes in helmet body. Helmet has no legible markings. Front plate is the wide winged Prussian Grenadier Eagle. Eagle held to helmet body with original leather wedges. All metal trim is brass. No leather chinstrap or cockades. Helmet was polished by collector. Rare regimental helmet and frontplate. Bargain priced.
