Prussian Garde Infantry Officer Pickelhaube "zu Parade"
White parade Busch, Spike and Case.

Prussian Guard Infantry Officer Model 1897. Group includes removable spike top, white hair parade plume and carry case. Beautiful black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded brass trim. Extremely large (size 61) helmet body with good form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer has been refinished but has excellent sheen. Inside has sweat leather and silk headliner. Silk show age and use with several small tears ( see photo). No extra holes in helmet body.
Inner visors colored red and green as usual for officer helmet. Frontplate is the large winged Garde Eagle with The silver star of the black eagle order and fancy colored enamel finish. Round spike base with star retainers. Extra tall removable spike top. Flat gilt chinscales retained by rosettes over a set of Reich and Prussian Officers Cockades. Grouping also has fancy White Buffalo Hair parade plume on a tall gilded trichter. Includes large original black carboard carrying case. Helmet shows use and wear but is a beautiful helmet.
