Prussian 14th Dragoon Enlisted Pickelhaube Named

Black lacquered leather helmet body of solid construction and excellent form. Lacquer remains in excellent condition with only minor flaws. Brass trim with the dragoon style cross base and the specialy elongated spike base for dragoons. Removable spike to adapt a trichter for parade. Crossbase is fixed to helmet by 4 brass split brads.

Brass Dragoon style eagle with the "Vaterland bandeau" mounted to the helmet by the original leather wedges through both loops. No extra holes. A set of M1891 rounded chinscales held by brass posts of the same model over two Reichs and Prussian Enlisted Cockades completes this helmet. Inside lining is of the enlisted "black dyed" pattern in excellent to near mint condition. Inside between the two loops is the owners tag "WachtMeister Schumann 2.Esc. Kurm. Dr.-Regt. No.14" the makers label is also present but hard to read. Perfect exemple!
