Prussian 2nd Garde Uhlan Tschapka -Private Purchase- Near Mint
Parade dressed - Absolutely beautiful
Black lacquered leather body in MINT shape with firm stitching to visor. Mortar board sits perfectly with no creases, but a small repair (pictured) to one corner. Prussian Large winged and fire gilt Garde Eagle with the Silver NCO type silver Star of the order of the Black Eagle -Original Fire Gilting remains close to 100%. Plate sits perfectly with deep marks in the helmet shell as can be seen on the pictures. NO extra holes of course.
Beautiful red Parade Rabatte with white cords that fits perfectly to the mortar board. White Yack Hair parade plume and Prussian NCO type Feldzeichen. Rounded chinscales maintained by split rosettes (No Cockade). The inside has the fancy Officers type lining with light calfskin and beige silk in MINT condition. This Tschapka is of full officers grade, the only thing the NCO had to do if/when enlisting into the Officers Corps was to change the Star to the enameled model and upgrade the Feldzeichen. Probably one of the nicest Tschapkas we have ever offered. A RARE and unique Regiment.... A keeper!
