Bavarian Infantry Eigentums Helm
Very nice private purchase.
Bavarian Infantry Private Purchase (Eigentum) enlisted man Model 1897. "Out of the Attic" find in Germany. Black lacquered leather body with brass trim. Leather helmet body has not been cleaned but is in excellent condition with fine exterior lacquer. Interior has Officers style calfskin and tan colored silk headliner. Inside visor are not colored. No extra holes in helmet body. Brass trim with a round spike base and smooth spike secured by 4 crew type brads.
Standard Bavarian Front Plate with the "In Treue Fest" bandeau held to helmet body with screw attachments. Back spine in brass. M1891 side posts. Helmet was found without chinstrap or cockades. We added quality reproduction leather chinstrap and the Bavarian and Reichs cockades. A very nice Private Purchase Pickelhaube for a "One Year Volunteer" or NCO. Beautiful helmet that is Bargain priced.
