Black leather helmet body in excellent to mint condition with no crazing. Brass trim that has never been cleaned. Beautiful Bavarian front plate in gilt brass. No extra holes, plate retains both original leather wedges. Back spine in brass with proper ventilation plate. Firm stitching to front visor, back visor loose on one side.

Round spike base with smooth enlisted spike. 4 retaining brads. Inside lining dyed black in good condition with some minor tears (see pictures). Some faint markings in back visor that we cannot make out. Original strap and Cockades. We believe due to the shell quality along with the liner type (later found on the Filz helmets, that this helmet was one of the last ones of its type to be manufactured before the various ersatz models. Uncleaned and untouched. 100% original.
