Baden Model 1915 Enlisted Infantry Pickelhaube

War Bond helmets brought to the US in 1919

$995.00

Baden 170th Infantry Regiment Enlisted Mans helmet Model 1915. Helmet comes from an old collection here in the US. Bright black lacquered leather helmet body with field gray trim. Helmet body has perfect form and fine stitching. Exterior lacquer has a bright sheen with no cracks or damage. Interior of the helmet has black dyed EM style leather liner that is still soft. Liner has some scuffing but no other damage. Inner visors are natural colored. Stamped inside the back visor “170 I.R.” with maker marks inside helmet bell are not legible.

All trim including base/spike, back spine, side lugs and front visor trim are all field gray in color. Frontplate is the Baden Griffen and is held to helmet with original leather wedges. What looks to be original leather chinstrap (we cannot be sure). Stamped metal serrated Reich and Baden cockades. This helmet is 100% original and untouched. Great WWI era helmet that was probably one of the War Bond helmets brought to the US in 1919.
