Prussian Grenadier Infantry Regiments Officer Model 1897-1911.  Beautiful helmet from the "old Line" Grenadier Regiments 5,6,10,11 and 12.   Beautiful black leather body has excellent shape and firm stitching.  Exterior lacquer is in excellent condition with bright external finish.  Interior has leather sweatband and silk headliner.  Sweat leather is stamped in the back with the makers label that is no longer legible.  Round front visor and gilt trim.  No extra holes in helmet body.  Round spike base with  4 gilt stars at the spike base. Very tall removable spike.  Front plate is the Fire Gilt  Old pattern Prussian Grenadier Eagle with a FWR monogram in the center of the eagles breast.   Flat gilded chinscales on rosettes. Original Reich and Prussian Officer cockades. Beautiful and untouched helmet.  Absolutely 100% original.  Fantastic example of a Pre-World I era Grenadier officer helmet.
