Bavarian Chevauxleger or Field Artillery Regiment Model Model 1916. Original woodwork find. Black lacquered leather dragoon style (squared front visor trim)helmet body with all field gray trim. Helmet has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer in excellent condition with no lacquer loss. Interior has EM style leather tab liner that is dirty with age. Plain leather inner visors that are slightly dirty with age. No extra holes in helmet body. Metal trim is unique for the field gray versions of the Chevauxleger and Field Artillery. Dragoon style body with cross spiked base and removable (twist off) fluted spike on dome retainers. Leather chinstrap (old repro) on M91 side lugs. EM style Reichs and Bavarian cockade.
