A fine early wartime  example as the Hessian Troops were found off.  Totally Untouched condition and bargain priced.

Hessen Enlisted Man Wartime manufactured Pickelhaube.  Nice out of the woodwork helmet.  Black lacquered leather helmet body with substantial thin lacquer loss all over and brass trim.  Helmet has never been cleaned or polished and was left as found.  Other than overall surface loss, body has good form ad is insulin shape.  Firm stitching with no extra holes in helmet body, as the Hessen plate fits it perfectly and was always on this helmet.   Full EM style leather liner.  All tongues intact.  Stamped inside helmet body with size and "B.A. XIV" and marked with owner name "B. Worthmann"? etc... written inside back visor.

Trim shows age related patina.  Frontplate is the Hessian Line Enlisted Mans Lion with Sword, never removed from helmet. The spike top is Round and was always part of this Helmet, maintained by round brads.  Original leather chinstrap and Reich and Hessen Original cockades.    Fine early wartime  example as the Hessian Troops were found off.  Totally Untouched condition and bargain priced.
