Black lacquered leather helmet body with fine gilt brass trim. Helmet body has excellent shape with firm stitching.

Bavarian State Police Officer "Pickelhaube" circa 1900-1920.  Black lacquered leather helmet body with fine gilt brass trim.  Helmet body has excellent shape with firm stitching.  Interior has officer style sweat leather and silk headliner.  Silk is a bit frayed but otherwise intact.  Interior visors colored red and green which is appropriate for Officer helmet.  Not extra holes in helmet body.  Bright gilded brass metal trim has not been cleaned or polished.  Front plate is the tradition Bavarian picklehaube plate.  Chin scaled strap on hooks over Lion head side retainers.  Single Reich cockade on left side of helmet above Lion retainer.  Cross spike base with small "Beamte" star retainers.  Extra tall spike for officer.  Beautiful and classic Bavarian para-military Police helmet from the Imperial Era.  Bargain priced at
