Prussian Field Artillery NCO private purchase Model 1895. Out of the woodwork find. Black lacquered helmet body with brass trim. Helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer still bright and shiny with no damage to finish. Interior has full EM style leather liner that is still soft and supple. Plain leather visors with ink mark in back size "56 1/2". Marked inside helmet bell with a maker stamp. No extra holes in helmet body. Frontplate is affixed to helmet with leather wedges that have not been removed or altered. Metal trim in excellent shape. Top of bake has 2 small "dings" that are not detractive. Back spine is the front "unvented" pattern that was used by mounted units like the Field Artillery Regiments. Special NCO ringed cockades on M91 posts. Rounded chinscales on side posts. Still retains leather chin attachments.
