Bavarian Silver trimmed Officer Model 1897. Acquired from an old collection Black Lacquered body with silver trim. Helmet body with square visor has good form and firm stitching. External finish near perfect. Inside has sweat leather and silk headliner in Minty condition. Inner visors colored red and green.
No extra holes in helmet body. Metal trim is in excellent shape. Front plate is Bavarian frontplate. Rounded chinscales on split Brad rosettes. Officer style Reich and Bavarian cockades. Tall Officer fluted spike. 3 Star retainers as is proper for Bavaria. This is not a wartime era helmet. All trim and body have pre-war quality. Over all near excellent condition. Silver trimmed Bavarian helmets are much rarer and more desired. Helmet also comes with it Carrying case that needs some TLC as can be seen on the pictures, nonetheless a complete set.
