Straight out of the woodworks, Prussian Jeager zu Pferd Reserve Officer Pickelhaube. Left totally uncleaned/untouched as worn by an Officer of the Regiments 1 through 7.
Silver/chromed metal body of extra thin manufacturing with only a couple of minor dents as can be observed on pictures, Body was never polished and could be upgraded to very nice if desired. Some flaking but would not detract from it overall beautiful appearance. Silver dragoon style Officers Eagle with the proper reserve cross in its center. No extra holes as plate fits the helmet body like a glove.
Extra tall all silver spike that unscrews, mounted over a cross shape base retained by 4 silver domed brads with nuts. Gilt brass convex chinscales retained by the typical clover leaf rosettes over both Reich and Prussian Cockards.
Inside helmet is fitted with the officers calfskin and silk liner left a bit dirty, with a name and address inscribed (probably the GI or Doughboy that brought it back or owned it). Beautiful green front visor lining and beige back visor lining proper for the JZP units. A RARE helmet, extremely difficult to find un-messed with…..this one is guaranteed 100% original.
