Bavarian Chevauxleger (Light Cavalry) Regiments 1,3,5 and 7 - Officer Model with white Yak hair parade plume – Model 1897. Fine leather helmet body and with squared front visor and gold metal trim. Black lacquered leather helmet body with gilded trim. No extra holes in helmet body. Helmet exterior lacquer in near mint condition. The helmet interior has mint sweat leather and silk headliner.

Gold crossed spike base with officer pearl/diamond ornamentation at base of spike. Fluted and tall removable plume that is mounted with a fine Yak hair parade plume. Large gold stars retain cross base to helmet. The Frontplate is the large gold Bavarian crest. The frontplate is beautifully fire gild. Original set of convex rounded gold chinscales with a gold officer rosette. Original officers Reichs and Bavarian cockades. Beautiful and impressive helmet.
