Prussian Infantry Officers Pickelhaube

Prussian Line Infantry Officer helmet - Model 1897. Fine “Out of the Woodwork” find in Europe. Fine black leather helmet body with fire gilt metal trim. Helmet body in excellent shape with fine form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer has untouched “Matte” finish but no lacquer damage. The interior of the helmet looks as if it has never been worn with soft swear leather and mint silk headliner. Inner visors colored red and green.

No extra holes in the helmet body. All the metal trim is fine fire gilt. The frontplate is the Line Prussian Eagle. The eagle is adhered to helmet with split brad retainers. Round spike base with star retainers. Smooth spike top. Flat chinscales on rosettes. Officer style 2 piece Reichs and Prussian cockades. The helmet appears never to have been worn. Beautiful classic Prussian Line Officers helmet.
