Saxon Enlisted Infantry Pickelhaube "I.R.133"
Nice and original early World War I helmet.
Royal Saxon 133rd Infantry Regiment (9th Royal Saxon Inf. Regt-Headquartered in Zwickau.) Enlisted Man Model 1895. Black lacquered leather helmet body with brass trim. Helmet body has good form and firm stitching. No extra holes in helmet body. Interior has full black dyed enlisted style leather liner. Liner is still soft and supple. Inside back visor is the stamp " 133 R.". Frontplate is a brass Saxon Star with a silver Royal Saxon crest in the center. Original plate to this helmet as can be seen from deep marks left in leather. Round brass spike base with standard spike. Model 1891 side lugs. Helmet does Cockades or chinstrap. Nice and original early World War I helmet.
