Hessen 115th Leib-Infantry Enlisted Pickelhaube Frontplate

Silver Hessen Enlisted 115th Leib Regiment frontplate. Complete and original to period. The plate has the double wreath of Laurel and Oak leaves. In the center the star of the order of Ludwig with the "Gott Ehre Vaterland" motif. The star has both original attachment prongs. The prongs that attach the plate to the helmet have been modified to screws (see close up pictures) at some point. Distance between both screws approx. 102mm.
