Bavarian Reserve Chevauxleger Officer Pickelhaube

Bavarian Reserve Chevauxleger (Regiments 1, 3, 5 and 7) Officer Model 1897 Pickelhaube with white hair parade bush. Black lacquered fiber helmet body with fine gilt trim. Helmet body has excellent form and firm stitching. Exterior lacquer still has its polished sheen. Slight blistering to finish noted on back panel of helmet (see photos). Interior has officer sweat leather and tan colored silk headliner in absolute great condition. Square front visor. No extra holes in helmet body. Frosted finish has not been cleaned or polished. Crossed spike base with officer's pearl and diamond ring with tall fluted trichter on which is a bright white yak hair plume.
Frontplate is the Bavarian Gilt Frosted Wappen surrounded by two Lions with the "In treue fest" banner on which is placed a silver reserve cross. Rounded gilt chinscales with rosettes. Officer Reichs and Bavarian cockades. Extremely nice find in today's marketplace. Beautiful 100% Original and Untouched helmet.
